Extended Trailer |
A True Crime Podcast featuring the work of Criminal Profiler Phil Chalmers. Chalmers has been featured on dozens of television shows, including A&E’s Killer Kids, Bio’s Killer Teens and Fox’s Crime Watch Daily. He was the host of the Audio Up ‘s “Where The Bodies Are Buried,” which landed in the top 50 of all podcasts, and has exceeded one million downloads. “Bodies” was chosen as one of the 50 best podcasts of 2020 by The Atlantic.
This brand-new podcast will uniquely feature one-on-one interviews with convicted serial killers, and could involve Chalmers solving cold cases, locating bodies and human remains, and answering the hard questions like “How does one become a serial killer?” and “Why would someone want to kill multiple innocent victims?”

Phil Chalmers is not a fan of true crime, like many podcasters, but the work he does is his mission, passion, and purpose, with 40 years’ experience and over 500 killers interviewed. Chalmers will also address the many myths of serial killers and educate the listeners about who these serial killers really are. In everything he does, Chalmers has a crime prevention slant, and always honors the victims and their families. Chalmers has interacted with the likes of Charles Manson, The Son of Sam, BTK, The Hillside Strangler, The Gainesville Ripper, and many more.
Sample Podcast Episode Trailer
These podcast episodes will be different than the rest of the crowded podcast field, with a deep dive and immersive experience into serial killing. The episodes will come completely produced and edited and will be two hours in length. Phil has learned that fans of his work want more content, not just short 40-minute episodes. Phil and his producer and co-creator Rocco Antonio of ProjectROOQ.com want to give the people what they want, a true crime evening, one in which they can look forward to all week, and will provide an evening’s entertainment, listening intently in their pajamas with their favorite beverage. It is our goal to have a website to accompany each episode, with in-depth case files and videos allowing the listener to dive deeper into each of these crimes. There will be a heavy focus on not only how people become serial killers, but how these killers evaded arrest for so long, and what led to their arrest.
We are open to multiple episodes for Season One, estimating between 10 and 20 episodes, or whatever the buyer chooses o purchase. This season length will allow Phil time to cultivate the next season’s contacts, bringing more serial killers to the true crime world in Season Two.
Along with interviewing the killer directly, we will also interview law enforcement, investigators, family members of the serial killer, and members of the victim’s families. We see these episodes dropping on a Wednesday, and on the following Saturday, Chalmers will appear live on Youtube, answering listener questions, and interacting with fans of the podcast. When possible, Chalmers will also invite investigators and the serial killer live on the show, providing an experience that has NEVER been done before.

Along with the serial killer being interviewed, Chalmers will sometimes get another serial killer to comment on the interview, confirming if the interviewee is being honest and truthful, or if something is off. Phil’s wife Wendi will also be a host on the podcast to offer her thoughts from a woman’s perspective. This podcast will be a mix of the best of true crime, think 48 Hours Mystery meets Dateline meets The First 48 meets Netflix’s Mindhunter. We have already secured the website “TheSerialKillerTapes.com,” and we have begun the trademark process for the name “The Serial Killer Tapes.”
This two-hour format will give the podcast company plenty of opportunity to sell multiple ads for each podcast. Phil and Wendi are also open to doing ad trades, and recording pitches for the show’s advertisers.
